Sambado is a Toronto-based ensemble that brings the vibrant rhythms and energy of Brazilian samba to Canadian audiences. Comprised of four highly skilled musicians, Sambado’s performances are a dynamic and engaging experience that will get your feet moving and your heart racing. With a passion for sharing the rich cultural heritage of Brazil, Sambado delivers a unique blend of traditional samba music and contemporary jazz, resulting in a highly engaging and intensive music experience. Sambado actively performs at jazz venues throughout the city of Toronto, such as Jazz Bistro, Drom Taberna, Emmet Ray, Mekan Toronto and others. Sambado is composed of guitar: André Valério, piano: Brendan Swanson, bass: Wesley Collett-Taylor and drums: Karel Gondor, and they have been performing together for several years since when they were students at Humber College.
